Black leather thong is authentic Saxon period, if so, how do black. serious answers!?

I am a reenactor of the period Saxon and have said that black thong is not possible at the moment but I have my doubts, I need to know how your manafactor may have been possible and even better for provdence use. As much information that can be very welcome please
